Abstract

Series documents a coordinated program between the Oregon and Washington Forestry Departments to educate young people in the management of Douglas Fir forests. Records include program outlines, letters, rosters, and news releases. Much of the subject matter deals with educational curriculum and forest management, but the news releases contain several forestry anecodotes about loggers, fire-fighters, forestry personnel, and Smokey Bear.
